Jesselson Heart Center
The Jesselson Heart Center is a unique institute for comprehensive heart care that is state-of-the-art in every detail. It was specifically designed and equipped to provide patients of all ages with the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques available anywhere in the world. Diagnosis, treatment, surgery and rehabilitation departments are all housed “under one roof”, making each service easily and quickly accessible to doctors and their patients. A complete spectrum of cardiac evaluation and testing is available. Three diagnostic echocardiographic units are equipped with Doppler facilities (with color flow mapping). A yearly average of 2,500 Echocardiograms, 2,000 Treadmill Stress Tests and 600 Holter Monitor tests are performed.

Myocardial preconditioning. Endothelial dysfunction. Inflammation and coronary artery disease. Assessment of new IIb/IIIa antagonists. Congestive heart failure. Torsade de Pointes. Detection of myocardial ischemia during daily activity. MCC135 in chronic heart failure (Swan-Ganz). Analysis of renal artery dilatation in patients with hypertension, with or without renal failure. Performance of Sorin Bicarbon valves in aortic position under exercise conditions. Use of non stented valves in aortic position and performance of these valves at rest and exercise. Connection of patients to femoro-femoral bypass before sternal reentry in reoperations. Assessment of mesenteric flow during cardio-pulmonary bypass. The effect of ionizing irradiation on prevention of neointema in venous bypass grafts.
