Nephrology

The department of Nephrology acts within the framework of the Department of Medicine. Its medical activities include diagnosis, treatment and prevention in several areas: chronic and acute kidney diseases, infections of the urinary tract, all types of hypertension, water and electrolytes homeostasis (including oedemas), polyurea (excess ofg urination) and diabetes insipidus. Diseases relating to calcium and potassium homeostasis, including metabolic bone diseases such as: osteomyelation, hyper-and hypo-parathyroidism.
